About Us

CCT Mission

Community Consulting Teams of Boston (CCT) amplifies the impact of Boston-area nonprofits through pro bono management consulting projects performed by teams of experienced MBAs from top-tier business schools.

What We Do

We do this by identifying and serving socially conscious and innovative nonprofits that have critical strategic or management challenges.  Our projects are staffed by professional alumni volunteers recruited from the top-ranked business schools who work together in teams to define, research, analyze and solve our clients’ issues.  We offer volunteers a meaningful service opportunity to join with other like-minded alumni in support of the common goal of strengthening the greater community.

CCT is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that, since 1990, has helped over 160 Boston-area nonprofits using more than 600 alumni volunteers to clarify their mission, evaluate new service opportunities, create effective marketing approaches, and improve the efficiency of their operations.

Vision

We envision a vibrant, enterprising community where nonprofit managements and MBA alumni volunteers collaborate to solve critical strategic and organizational problems. We aspire to earn recognition as a major contributor to the quality of services in Boston’s nonprofit sector.

We serve three groups in our CCT community—clients, volunteers and business schools. Our goals for these groups are:

For Clients—to provide high-quality management consulting services and deliver actionable and timely recommendations.

For MBA alumni volunteers—to create uniquely meaningful and enjoyable experiences that have long-term social impact.

For Business Schools—to offer an opportunity for their alumni to serve the Boston community and strengthen ties to their business school

Guiding Values

CCT volunteers are united by a common resolve to “give back” and we demonstrate that spirit through shared values and principles in our work.  To serve our constituents best, we:

Respect our clients’ missions, constituents, and confidentiality;

Commit ourselves to each other and our teams, with professionalism, initiative and ingenuity;

Leverage the time, skills and experience of clients and volunteers;

Collaborate with each other responsively, efficiently and with good humor;

Deliver high-quality, actionable and timely recommendations to our clients.
